Welcome to Jimho Electrical and Electronics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Jimho Electrical and Electronics' services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Services Description

Jimho Electrical and Electronics provides the following services:

  • Electrical installation and repair services
  • Solar panel installation and maintenance
  • Electronics repair and maintenance
  • Emergency electrical services
  • Consultation and project planning
  • Maintenance and support services

3. Service Agreements

3.1 Work Orders

All service work requires a written work order or service agreement specifying the scope of work, materials, and pricing.

3.2 Estimates

Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Estimates may be revised if site conditions differ from initial assessment.

3.3 Change Orders

Any changes to the original scope of work require a written change order and may result in additional charges.

3.4 Permits and Inspections

Client is responsible for obtaining necessary permits. We will assist with permit applications when requested.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Schedule

  • Deposit: 50% required to schedule work
  • Progress Payment: 25% upon substantial completion
  • Final Payment: 25% upon final inspection and approval

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept cash, bank transfer, Ecocash, and major credit cards. A 3.5% processing fee applies to credit card payments.

4.3 Late Payments

Payments not received within 30 days of invoice date will incur a 2% monthly late fee. Work may be suspended for non-payment.

4.4 Disputed Charges

Any disputed charges must be reported within 7 business days of invoice receipt.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

5.1 Workmanship Warranty

  • Electrical installations: 2 years
  • Solar systems: 10 years on panels, 5 years on inverters
  • Electronics repair: 90 days
  • Generator work: 2 years

5.2 Material Warranties

Materials carry manufacturer warranties as specified by the supplier. We pass through all applicable manufacturer warranties.

5.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, accidents, natural disasters, or unauthorized modifications.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not liable for:

  • Consequential or indirect damages
  • Lost profits or business interruption
  • Damage to personal property during normal service
  • Pre-existing conditions not identified in writing

Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Jimho Electrical from claims arising from client's negligence or misuse.

7. Safety and Access

7.1 Client Responsibilities

  • Provide safe access to work areas
  • Secure pets and children during work
  • Remove valuables from work areas
  • Ensure utilities are available for testing

7.2 Safety Standards

All work is performed according to Zimbabwe electrical codes and safety standards. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Cancellation by Client

  • More than 48 hours notice: Full refund of deposit
  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% of deposit retained
  • Less than 24 hours notice: No refund

8.2 Cancellation by Company

We may cancel work due to unsafe conditions, non-payment, or circumstances beyond our control. Deposits will be refunded in such cases.

9. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • War or civil unrest
  • Government restrictions
  • Supply chain disruptions
  • Labor shortages

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and software, is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Client grants us permission to use project photos for marketing purposes unless otherwise specified.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Harare, Zimbabwe.

12. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes, parties agree to first attempt resolution through mediation. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Harare, Zimbabwe.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

15. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
